If there is any validity to the theory that it takes a crook to catch a crook, then Northern California is well positioned indeed.

Anyone know what is going on in the sky above Sonoma? Sounds like helicopters and has been going on seems like for hours

The word is out that the airport that hides behind a beloved cartoon character is less than lovable as these two links will attest.

Isn't it time to de- snoopy-fy the Sonoma County airport? A better symbol might be Mothra or Darth Vader.

The Northern California Fire Department has been taken over by organized crime and much like China, has embarked on a good will program that provides cheap loans and free infrastructure for some modest influence over this and that. Nothing to see here, move on.

Measure H, Please More Taxes, Thank A Fireman For Your Higher Taxes

The Fire Department has failed to read lips again, burdening Sonoma residents with yet more taxation. As if Sonoma's beleaguered citizens didn't pay enough taxes already.

The first responders to the rich get fatter still while the poor will get poorer still. Yes thanks go to the fireman for this shameful money grab.

By increasing the sales tax and the ever spiraling cost of living the fat fire fighters have secured for themselves the riches of the taxpayers who can afford it, while further distances are placed against any kind of affordability for the cost of living on lower income residents.

"Lower income residents, ha, not in Sonoma County, hit the road disgusting poor people," says the fireman with this gouging of the poor.

The extra money will burn along with the rest of the county come summer when proof of the ongoing incompetence of the fire department may come with the future evidence of the next fire the fireman can't put out. What will be their excuse next time they fail to protect residents from the flames, "Oh sorry, we will need still more money to put out the fire!"

Incompetent, no just good at milking the taxpayers dry with yet more taxation. The fireman are lying. Check out the spanking new vehicles they all drive. Courtesy of the mob. Organized criminal interests own the fire department and it's upper management. Not to mention the city council. They all are driving spanking new vehicles and don't really need this new infusion of cash. But if you can sucker the suckers further then do it.

Milk the ignorance of the trusting tax payer, whose misguided faith in a fancy uniform is understandable but regrettably misplaced.

Measure H

"No Argument

Citizens of Sonoma County pay enough taxes between existing sales taxes and parcel taxes for local fire protection districts. This proposed tax is regressive and will hurt small businesses. "

"

Matt Heath, chairman of the Sonoma County Republican Party, said the added costs, atop everything else, are just too much.

"This is actually an increase in everyone's taxes. Currently, Santa Rosa, is ranked the eighth most expensive city to live in in the entire united states. Families, especially young families cannot afford to absorb any more increase in the cost of living. it's very expensive to live in Sonoma County," Heath said.

According to Heath, if these are urgent priorities, county political leaders should use existing funds, rather than rely on a citizen backed initiative to raise money for basic government functions

"I put the blame on this being on the ballot on the Board of Supervisors and I feel bad and ashamed for our firemen that they have to go forth and ask the individual taxpayers, 'please, pay more taxes so that we can provide a service,'" Heath added.

"Our supervisors need to start prioritizing our first responders in the budget with a huge amount of money and not rely upon the taxpayers to have to make these hard decisions when it comes to the ballot box," Heath continued.

Petaluma Airport • 3d •

We were driving on North McDowell Blvd heading south couldn’t help but notice how many post have been hit! Who’s fixing them & at what cost? To top it off Petaluma ambulance with lights on behind us, yet we couldn’t pull to the side of the road because of the post! One poor decision by our city council! Try to solve a small problem to create a much larger problem! 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just saying"

Firefighters facing budget cuts have been known to commit arson

The LGBT community applauds Fire Chief Dan Munsey for coming out of the closet as transgender, updating her profile accordingly. She's running for office and with five likes already is on her way!

Quick call an ambulance! How much does that cost again, do they have any coupons?

Where, if anywhere, does it list what the prices for ambulance services are? Is there any thing resembling any kind of price competition?

It doesn't seem like that now does it? No quite the opposite. Ambulance services have been consolidated into one conglomerate in NorCal. The ambulance company is so big and fat cat they don't have to bother listing any prices whatsoever.

Have you ever met anyone that said "Boy, that ambulance service sure was a great value?"

The ambulance company knows that their customers are more often than not in a bind and money is the least thing on their minds during a medical emergency. A medical emergency is a license for the ambulance service to take their clients not only to the hospital but also to the cleaners. It's a one stop shop, talk about convenience.

Hurry, call an ambulance quick! No it’s not worth the financial ruin of the exorbitant bills.
Walk, crawl, take an Uber or taxi if you don’t want to be thrust into debtor’s prison for not being able to afford the ridiculously high transportation rates of the service. Service, some service?
